BREAKING: Israel and Lebanon signed a U.S.-brokered framework agreement intended to lead to future agreements to end the conflict and reach a peace settlement. Under the agreement, the IDF will remain in Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed.
According to an a senior Israeli diplomatic official, the IDF will maintain its security zone within the Yellow Line in Lebanon, “until the day when Hezbollah and the other terrorist organizations in Lebanon are disarmed and there is no longer a threat from Lebanon to the territory of the State of Israel.”

Today, the Governments of Israel and Lebanon made a bold decision to agree to a framework that builds a realistic path out of endless conflict. This agreement establishes a clear and structured process to restore Lebanon’s sovereignty, disarm Hizballah and dismantle its terrorist infrastructure, and enable Israel to return to its borders once that threat to its citizens is removed. It also creates a trilateral Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L), facilitated by the United States, allowing the two sides to implement this Framework. For Lebanon, this Framework provides a genuine pathway out of a long crisis. For Israel, it creates a verifiable path to removing the persistent threat on its northern border.

Syria has condemned Israeli aggression in the south, saying incursions into the territory and artillery shelling in the governorates of Quneitra and Daraa violated its sovereignty.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that the attacks "terrorised civilians" and constituted a breach of international law, the UN Charter and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

The sixth round of Lebanon & Israel negotiations opened in Rome, with the first day ending without an announced agreement. Talks resume Wednesday.
Israel said it is prepared to advance withdrawal arrangements in two “pilot zones.” Lebanon is prioritizing a ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal, Lebanese Army deployment & reconstruction.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry updated the cumulative casualty toll since March 2nd to 4,324 killed and 12,223 injured.
The figures are cumulative and do not represent casualties from a single new attack.

Lebanon & Israel concluded the sixth round of U.S. brokered talks in Rome with an understanding on two pilot zones, one Israeli area and one adjacent area.
A follow on military meeting under U.S. auspices is expected to work through implementation details. No Israeli withdrawal has been confirmed.
Israeli security officials assess Hezbollah will militarily resist any attempt by the Lebanese Army to disarm the organization, including in Beirut.
Hezbollah may also threaten to seize Lebanese state institutions in the capital, according to N12.
The Lebanese Army has deployed to the first agreed pilot area and is expected to begin clearing Hezbollah weapons and infrastructure.
Iranian leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei described support for Hezbollah as a fixed Iranian strategic policy.
He also claimed preserving Lebanese sovereignty and securing a complete, unconditional end to Israeli attacks was the “first condition” of the memorandum ending the Iran & U.S. war.
The Lebanese Army reported Israeli demolitions, shelling, gunfire, agricultural burning & the destruction of a Litani water installation across several southern Lebanese localities.
It also reported Israeli fire near Lebanese Army positions and said the activity was obstructing agreed military deployments and civilian returns to the south.
