Most likely. Netanyahu must be steaming right now ...or not.
Maybe this was the negotiating plan they talked about when he met with Pres. Trump earlier.
But I doubt it.
Who accompanied Bibi? Were the generals and defense ministers meeting also?

Axios, citing American and Israeli sources, reported: Netanyahu's recent visit to Washington was particularly tense when he and Trump discussed Iran.
I first got the impression Bibi didn't actually get anything meaningful from Trump when I read op-eds in Israeli press following the visit. Gotta say that was surprising, given how easy it had previously been for Bibi to wrap Trump around his finger.

Even still, Trump has painted himself into a corner and he might be forced to bomb Iran, given that diplomacy seems to be getting him nowhere. That is - unless Israel's security has already joined Ukraine on the list of Trump's free gifts to Putin, and Bibi simply hasn't been told yet.

🔴Witkoff is out of depth; he is weak and does not understand Middle East negotiations or language. First, he admitted Hams fooled him, and now it's the Iranian turn. @POTUS needs to remove him immediately before he causes damage that can't be repaired.
Incompetence is not punished under Trump. Disloyalty is.

And that makes Witkoff safe while dooming the USA. 💁‍♂️

Two key signals and none of them look good for de escalation. Iranian TV confirms the second round is over. It only lasted three and a half hours.
Iranian TV confirms the second round is over. That means Tehran wants it known publicly that the round is done. No sugarcoating, no “productive dialogue,” just a clean cutoff. That’s intentional signaling, likely aimed at both domestic and international audiences.

It only lasted three and a half hours. That’s very short for high stakes nuclear discussions. Either sides came in with pre scripted talking points and no willingness to bend, or things derailed early. Three hours isn't negotiation it’s posturing.

@DEFCON Warning System @RiffRaff @Irag8er @Torch my two cents on new developments.

Xi and Putin are also chatting with Iran to ease tensions sometime soon i believe. Not that you'll see western reports on it much .🙄🤷🏻‍♂️🤭🤫

The longer those B-2s continue to rust in the salty ocean breeze at Diego, the lower I rate the chances of the US actually going to war with Iran.

Don't get me wrong - I still think the likelihood of this war hapening is high. But it's getting a little bit lower each day - for the simple reason that Trump has a habit of getting bored with tough problems and moving on to other stuff.

We gotta stop thinking our politicians have balls.

Really? If you follow my reporting I have reported on that. 👇

Araqi to go to Moscow tomorrow.

🔹The Iranian ambassador in Moscow announced that the foreign minister will go to Moscow tomorrow, a trip that Araqchi said today was aimed at conveying a written message from the Supreme Leader of the Revolution to the Russian President./Fars.
📣🇮🇷
The Kremlin: Russia welcomes the start of negotiations between Iran and the United States and stresses the need to resolve all issues through diplomacy..
So much more I'm not going to go back and find...

So I hope your point wasn't targeted at these forums, as it is reported and discussed here. Also, it's on Western media, sorry it's not on the front pages?

I know many don't like me... but I'm good at what I do and use sources from all sides. So hate me all you want, but don't ignore my data dumps in REPORT threads because of it. You're missing out.

It is strange how little coverage this is getting from mainstream media. They're covering it, but not in depth, not the way I'd expect, especially when unprecedented firepower is being parked in the M.E right next to Iran.

Trump is desperately trying to not have to start something or use force. Is before all the Trump haters jump on this as foolish.

I would point out that it is always better to make peace first. Can we with Iran I don’t believe it is possible. That said is it worth the effort? Well Obama and Biden thought so. That is basically what they did without success.
So I personally am ok with allowing the time to try. I Trust Trump more to make a viable deal with some teeth. He is the one who ordered Solimani dead after all.

In the end if they say no, then i believe who will smack there military industrial and port sites (maybe) hard.

Iran doesn’t think he will. Or they think if he does they can spin it and survive it
Sometimes contrasted to the modern world the ayatollahs just look like fools.
But they have been allowed to play this game or proxy and terrorist activities for four decades and no one has called them on it. Until Israel smashed Hamas and the HTS through the Shites out of Syria.
So we’ll see maybe it will work maybe it won’t. But trying is not a foolish thing altogether to try and do.
I’m not holding my breath

Surprisingly, I agree with you here.

Trump doesn’t want war with Iran. He never has. If it were up to him alone, he'd stall, sanction, posture, and wait for a better deal.

But let’s be real, he’s got Bibi whispering in one ear who he likes/listens too more then most and Pentagon war hawks circling in the other. That kind of pressure piles up, especially when the timing and optics start shifting.

And the truth is... he does have support at home for action if it comes to that. Doesn't matter if you're Democrat or Republican, no one wants even a chance of terrorists or their state sponsors getting nukes. That’s one of the last bipartisan red lines left in America.

So no, trying to avoid war isn’t foolish. But if Iran keeps pushing, they shouldn’t count on restraint lasting forever. Not when the fuse is already half burned and half of American airpower almost parked next door to Iran.
