Well Iran should have nuclear weapons by now. Just recently and for yrs the west has claimed Iran is weeks away. Well its been weeks now since the extremely expensive build up of US military assets and bombings in Yemen. I don't see Iran being attacked. These recent previous and current talks are still being held.
No way is Iran going stop its nuclear weapons ambition now.
US adversaries are well aware from history, what they require to stop the cycle. Iran knows this all to well .

Senior Israeli official: Talks between the U.S. and Iran are irrelevant. Iran already has enough uranium; the next step is weaponization. They fooled the negotiations by hiding this, and are making a mockery of America.
Yes, but I personally don't like the idea of going to war with Iran while Iran is supporting Pakistan while India goes to war with Pakistan. Let's just hope China doesn't decide the world is too distracted to stop them from invading... whoever they plan on invading.

Not to say it wouldn't be justified. Just that China's clock is ticking on when they can invade anyone due to demographics. Israel and the US have a rapidly ticking clock for avoiding Iran from becoming another nuclear terrorist state. India is out for blood. I guess at least the UK and France are doing OK?

What affect are these strikes having? What’s the strategy? Does this result in protecting the Druze, which is one apparent aim? The IDF says it is to remove threats. Does it prevent threats in the long term? Or is it more likely the Syrian government will increasingly view Israel as an enemy and draw conclusions over time on how best to defend Israel from the strikes? The strikes are unpopular in the region and in the West. Those who backed the Syrian rebels oppose them, other Arab states oppose them, it’s not clear who supports them or where the strikes will lead.
Considering the fact the new government of Syria opposes Iran and Hezbollah, it could be a natural partner of Israel or at least have amicable ties on some shared interests. The strikes would seem to rescue those chances before they had a time to start.
The actual things being hit by the strikes also appear to have diminishing returns. Damascus doesn’t have a lot of military assets of value. When it does it will acquire them from Ankara and then strikes on those assets will likely cause a crisis. So what is being hit is old stuff. It’s not clear if the tactic or strategy have underlying coherence or are effective.

Interesting thoughts.

We forget that the iron dome is designed to discriminate between inbound threats based upon where they’re projected to impact. Letting one land in the open minimal threat is not as bad as debris coming down on populated areas
True but Israel said it was a failure of the THAAD system which is separate from the Iron Dome system if I recall correctly.

No way they don't have have a bomb. If not at least 100s of dirty bombs.

We are definitely concerned about Iran having a nuclear weapon. Even if it can't be delivered by missile, there are other delivery methods.
