Midsize U.S. Banks Ask FDIC To Insure All Deposits For Two Years

No way! Only big banks get that treatment! But you will pay greater fees, though, thank you very much. Just pass it on to your customers so they switch to bigger banks that have the cash flow to not pass on the costs, in order to gain customers from the ones who have to. Because bigger banks are more secure if they are the only ones fully insured, mid sized banks will also continue to have depositors switching banks.

Gotta get those smaller banks out of the market somehow, how else will the big banks increase their profit margins during a recession?
