UPDATE: Two hit by gunfire outside White House — the suspect and a possible bystander — and taken to hospital. Suspect in critical condition, second person in serious condition. US Secret Service agents were apparently shot at and returned fire at 17th and Penn. No agents injured.

WHITE HOUSE SHOOTER IDENTIFIED

The alleged gunman who opened fire on the White House has been identified as Nesire Best, according to law enforcement sources.

Best is deceased and had a documented history with law enforcement along with “mental health” concerns.
