Dagestani opposition: "Tomorrow we will turn Dagestan upside down if they don't release our sisters and brothers."
Glad it got this far yet, shows the people are picking up more power. They shouldn't have gave them more time though, start causing more and more trouble. Giving them time gives Russian police the chance to prepare, and also shows the police where they stand in how far they can go.
Putin's #MartialLaw ahead of schedule and without announcement: Border crossing toward Petropavlovsk, #Kazakhstan is already closed to all conscription age men on the Russian side. Corroborated by taxi drivers, Orda journalist, and other sources.

A protest rally in Nalchik at 15:00 Moscow time, Monday, September 26. People on Facebook are calling for resistance, many expect a clash with Rosgvardia - Russiaโs riot police, that the Kremlin sent from Buryatiya and other places to the Caucasus to โprotect public order.โ
Because we arent talking about America or Europe. We are talking about Russia. A country that for generations has oppressed freedom of speech, expression, press, and many other freedoms we here in the West take for granted. Why is this thread here? Same shit happened in the west during Vietnam, Korea . Protests, riots people dodging conscription in America, Europe etcetc. Than when the soldiers returned they were branded murderers, rapists etc etc. What short memories we have.![]()
Yes times are changing another example is Chinese standing up against authorities with similar issues of punishment but hey it is easier to concentrate on these countries and their problems. Power to you.Because we arent talking about America or Europe. We are talking about Russia. A country that for generations has oppressed freedom of speech, expression, press, and many other freedoms we here in the West take for granted.
You may get at most a suspended sentence or a few days in jail for these things. In Russia, you can be tortured to death, or just enough that you can still be forced to fight on the front lines (most protesters right now). These protesters have had it made clear to them police will use brutality on you and then you will be sent to the front lines. A good portion of Russia remembers a time where the families would be sent to camps. That same portion also remembers the fall of the soviet union which decimated their standards of living until a big hero came and fixed it.
Russian's are 1000000% more terrified at the prospect of protesting and regime change than Americans were .
And if you have kept up on dagestan, they aren't just little protests and riots.
Dagestan is inspiring Russian people to rise up. Wonderful Asya is offering to pay for protective vests & helmets for Russians who are ready to take to the streets.
The lid is closed. The Rostov military commissar says that starting from now the Russian men (to leave Russia) need "a spravka" from their local enlistment office that they won't be mobilized.

Seems that a man in Irkutsk opened fire on the head of the regional draft committee. The Military Officer was at least hurt (unconfirmed reports say: he is dead).
Dagestani partisans announced their targets. State-owned objects across Russia, including roads, railways, airports, conscription offices, plants, gas pipelines, electric lines, etc.
