Nothing definitive or urgent but there has been an uptick in earthquake swarms all along the New Madrid Fault line seems to also be including the Wabash fault as well. Also activity in central Kentucky.

Pretty much my backdoor, one of those things that if it never pops I might lifetime I never know it was there. But if it does it will be life altering.

If anything like the 1811/1812 event occurs, Memphis and St. Louis will be significantly damaged if not destroyed. I can just picture all of those red-brick buildings in St. Louis crumbling apart. Traffic up, down, and across the Mississippi will come to a halt, affecting interstate commerce.

Good info though. All the more reason to have emergency plans and supplies at the ready...

Yeah it’s certainly not something to go all weak kneed over. But it just a decent reminder to be prepared. If it happens it will really leave a mark. Memphis will be wrecked I fear. That and probably about 500 miles of Levee systems

Question to the forum has anyone ever read anything on earthquakes and risk to old mine subsidence regions.

I’ve been going through my resources and am deficient in water storage.
Am going to set my gutter collection system back up. And load up on bottled water. Also need to get some more bulk yeast, but I generally don’t eat a lot of bread.

Personally my single biggest deficiency is I do not have a root caller. Leaves me with no acceptable way to bulk in root crops or squash.
That and more HV 300 Bk out. Good hunting round 👍😝

Oh know I just picked I up in a regional news story from last November.
There are no eminent threats. Just a geological watch of the patterns.
I live almost on top of the Wabash fault line. And it would take a major tear of the new Madrid to dislodge the Wabash.
But it’s happened and we are coming around to close proximity in geological time.
