Newfound Asteroid May Strike Earth in 2046, NASA Says

This is such an insult to the American people. Where the fuck is the giant comet? We need one. I’m done.

Well NASA did just recently anouce a killer asteroid heading twords earth and has a ridiculously high chance of hitting earth in 30(ish) years. Think they said the odds where 1 in a couple hundred. Which is really really high probability. As most the time the chances are 1 in several thousand, or million/billion usualy in regards to these predicted trajectories of asteroids hitting earth.

Very supirsrd the media has been hush hush about the most potential earth ending scenario with the highest chances ever of it happening compared to all the other times the media hyped over asteroids that virtually had zero chances of hitting us. But this one is different and the odds are very alarming compared to all the previous "hyped up" threats before.

Granted it's many years from now. But still we have yet to see a killer asteroid odds of striking us this likely before and the media has entirly ignored NASA's warning.

1 in a couple hundred is a odd no one should be conformable with.

This impact was downgraded to an extremely low risk in March.

- Discovered in February and placed as a 1 on the toreno scale.

- Downgraded in March to a zero.

The media doesn’t report on these things because they always start out as a 1 on the toreno scale and get downgraded to a low risk shortly there after.

If they did we would live in a constant state of panic every 3 or so years when they decide to model a potential asteroid impact.

Thanks for the info. I only heard about it and vaguely recall reading about it. But remember the odds was significant. Glad the trajectory has changed for the better! Sure didn't sound hopful though at first discovery.
