Putin's Speech on Ukraine

He said it. He recognised the republics.
And he strongly DEMANDS from Ukraine to cease any armed hostilities. Otherwise, there will be consequences.

Putin has said that he will recognize the republics as independent, and he will request a federal assembly to ratify the decision, and eventually help the republics. He demands Kyiv to stop hostilities immediately. The speech has ended.

Few critical coments
It is unclear how China will react on Putin action( recognizes of these illegal states). It is big problem for Xi and china policy.
Usage nuclear weapons against UkrIne will create China reaction. China will not tolerate such behavior .Putin will pay a price for such move ( to China)

Hostiles action ( military ) are executed by specnaz , wagner group ( so Russia create false flags). Full stop.
Ukraine is not in position to stop these action prepered by these organizations..

Putin is wrong because situation with Ukraine history is complicated. He sell history which is simple.

So America was created by the Brits. Don't give England a right to take any land from America. Same can be said here with Ukraine/Russia.
 
I know this will be unpopular. But stop and think of the whole puzzle. For Putin, it was a darned good move on the chess board. Now, Ukraine will be basically surrounded on at least two sides. Haven't looked at the map, so don't hold me to that. It also buys a little time for Putin. That move is either going to let some pressure off this political pressure cooker, or it's going to add more heat to it. On that, we just have to wait and see.

It migh be good mov but only if limited to recnition these so called republic. It can close problem with Crimea. assumption. War is very limited and required to
Provide space for diplomacy ( peace treaty witk Ukraine which close problem). Unfortunately Putin speech is far away from this limited kintetic action
