I agree but, if a major war breaks out in the far east someone is going to have to keep the bear in its cage and Europe should be prepared for that. IMOAnd yet we are even stronger together

Source:Inevitably? Got a source even a marginally reputable expert claiming this?

Canada is more afraid of American aggression than Russian aggression; I don't know about Europe. And if Canada and Europe were actually so scared of Russian aggression they might play better with their ally who own the nuclear deterrent.
Well I would agree on time line of decades. There has been a back and fourth struggle for control of Eastern Europe, Slavic and Nordic regions since the 1750’s.Yes. Yes. Yes.
1st. Finland.
2 major wars, several minor skirmishes
2nd Germany.
Two World wars against, one world war with.
3rd France
Maybe, maybe not. Hard to get to.
FFS then why is Canada STILL HOLDING missile defense drills with the US.Canada is more afraid of American aggression than Russian aggression; I don't know about Europe.
Yes, I believe I already retracted that at least 24 hours before you decided to grace us with your presence. And if Canada and Europe were actually so scared of Russian aggression they might play better with their ally who own the nuclear deterrent.
Which they still are
last week NORAD and Canada HELD JOINT missile defense drills. And their is no degradation of data or early warning information sharing.

US and Canadian forces practise cruise missile defence
NORAD and US Northern Command are running Exercise Amalgam Dart across North America until 1 September, covering cruise missile defence scenarios and coordination with allied forces in the Arctic.ukdefencejournal.org.uk
So much for this…
For military exercises, NORAD still exists, but several training exercises were planned in advance.FFS then why is Canada STILL HOLDING missile defense drills with the US.
Now do certain political interest in Canada fear the US. I’m sure they do.
But Canada as a whole? What ever
So there has been no interruption to missile defense data flow?Yes, I believe I already retracted that at least 24 hours before you decided to grace us with your presence.
Well with the direction their gov has taken them they should view the US as an economic challenge. Canada exports 65% of their total goods and services to the US.For military exercises, NORAD still exists, but several training exercises were planned in advance.
Politicians are unanimously at odds with the new state formed in January 2025, even among conservatives.
For the Canadian people:
Recent polls reveal that Canadians hold a massively negative opinion of Donald Trump, with his approval ratings at historically low levels in Canada. Current trade tensions, marked by the failure of bilateral negotiations and the aggressive tariff threats of the Trump administration, have exacerbated this feeling of rejection.
Unfavorable opinion: Approximately 76% to 79% of Canadians express a negative opinion of Donald Trump. His personality is frequently described as "arrogant," "corrupt," or "dangerous." Lack of trust: Nearly 80% of Canadians say they have no confidence in Donald Trump's ability to keep his word on a trade agreement with Canada. Only 20% of respondents have overall confidence in the U.S.'s ability to manage global affairs.
Pleak in the U.S. image: The overall perception of the United States in Canada has plummeted, reaching a historic low of approximately 30% to 33% positive opinions. Canadians are now more likely to view their southern neighbour as an economic challenge or threat rather than a traditional ally.
