No there is no indications Russia is planning in to invade Finland.
However Finland has stated just recently Russia invading Ukraine will cause her nation to rethink their membership in NATO.
Sweden and Finland are both participating in an up coming nato conference. Will Russia demand this be canceled?
On a side note not being a member of NATO has not precluded training exercises and interpolation of Finish and US forces. Is Russia going to demand that stop taking place as well

If I were the Head of State/Government of any European-non NATO country right now I would be scaried af, especially if close to Russia, and I would without doubt start any kind of preparation needed to join NATO and/or EU.

Then america fucked up ever letting it get to that point, which we have.
And Mexico right now is a bad example. We already have cartels, drugs and human trafficking, illegals crossing by the hundreds of thousands each year. China’s already smuggling Fentanyl through the boarder.
This situation current situation could very easily be spun as a reason to cross the boarder with the military to hunt cartels and coyotes down and “restore” order.
Are you implying the US has the right to invade northern Mexico right now and set up a puppet government? Their is no need to wait for China there are enough problems now to make that comparison.

My interpretation is that it was a threat not to join NATO. Not that Russia was threatening action against them right now.

Basically i think it was a popular argument that Finland never joined nato so what do all these other nations on our boarder need to.
Then Finland said recently after watching what’s happening around Ukraine we might have to rethink our position.
