So basically a nogo for military equipment from another country?
Very big no go. Taiwan will and has too defend its territorial waters. China doing military exercises in them are of no exception to these zones rules of engagement.

Chinese navy will be so close Taiwanese may be able to see them with their own eyes from the coasts of Taiwan. That's just not going to fly.

Territorial waters and air space are not the same as a ADIZ. If a nation demarcates a certain airspace around their territory they are only requesting all aircraft to identify who they are and intent. If ignored most nations will send out fighters to ID.
They are not territorial infringements and they are not necessarily recognized by other nations.
It is just that nation tell others to be prepared to be intercepted, ID’d and escorted.
Call them courtesy zones to ensure everyone plays nice

Some will be done just miles off the Taiwanese Coast. An area the Taiwanese consider their territorial waters. They will not and they cannot sit by and let China defile it.

The United States needs to make a decision about Taiwan.

If Taiwan is part of China, then what difference does it make if China sends its military over? You can't invade your own country.

If Taiwan isn't part of China, then the US needs to start acting like it.

This wishy-washy message the US keeps sending is what is causing all the problem.

I saw a post somewhere saying they haven't went too far into Taiwan's waters?
Not yet, but the advertised exercise locations would get as close as 9 nautical miles from Taiwan's coast. You would be able to see them from that distance.

No matter how you look at this issue it's a risk to war but just being in the middle and hesitating to make a stance is almost an assured fight. I agree, this bs needs to come to an end. Either you you defend these people (and keep the chip monopoly , underseas resources and sea passage lanes out out of Chinas hands) or just gtfo and concede the island and it's vicinity forever. I am guessing they just want China to take the first shot and initiate aggression at this point. There is a case to be made for right of passage.

I am sorry but the USA has made its decision perhaps its just you that needs to coop with it. They are backing the "Democratic part of China" ( if I have to cut it out for you )

I want to emphasize a comment I made among the staff: You cannot analyze China with the same mindset you use to analyze Russia. Different culture, different history, different government. Comparing Taiwan and Ukraine is not going to help. They need to be analyzed as separate conflicts.

China is more willingly and able to sacrifice it's population in an all out war, it could win a naval or ground war against the U.S.
Russia isn't as capable as the Soviet Union was and has to avoid a direct confrontation with the West.
