Russian inspector satellite (Cosmos-2558) launches anti-satellite weapons at USA satellite 326.

Even if they are weapons of which I couldn't find in reports as being 100% verified. I think the title is misleading as no such weapon was used as an attack on said satellite. Reconnaissance
Inspection
Flight paths trajectories analysis to avoid collisions all noted.
As far as explosives , chemical sprays etc as possible weapons for attacks go , I saw nothing that confirms an actual attack.
The US and most likely a few other countries on both sides most likely do have abilities in space and confirmed on earth to disrupt, destroy or disable each others satellites anyway. Refreshing to see this post as a reminder of others abilities without continuous bragging of just our own.
Like autonomous Chinese warships that use AI for weapons systems and don't use gps for navigation purposes.
Thankyou for post. Unless proven as a weapon and used as such on US satellite i don't see it as US satellite attacked by Russian satellite weapon. Launch of weapon suggests such in said text. Bit like saying US launch minute man into ocean or NK launches ballistic missiles into sea. No threat or attack took place obviously. Russia launches anti satellite weapon at US satellite I could understand how that may seem misleading.

My mistake it was definitely not an attack but theory's suggest these Russian satellite may be carrying anti-satellite weapons. Easy to see how the media can create click bait titles though they probably do it on purpose.

US anti-satellite weapons are far from new!

so, what criteria are currently used to distinguish between 'conducting technology tests' and satellite attacks in space?
