Russian Navy’s strategic broadcasts active now on 9884kHz in digital T-600 mode. One-way transmissions to surface units. The same messages are transmitted simultaneously on Very Low Frequency 18.1kHz to reach submerged submarines.

French Navy active on 5702 kHz. Voice traffic. Likely communication between the Toulon base and an unidentified asset, probably an aircraft. I only managed to catch a few seconds. Now, all is quiet.

RDL, the Russian Navy's strategic broadcast on 23354kHz. First an FSK-Morse message that I failed to document, followed by this one in T-600 digital mode. RX via Kiwi webSDR at 11:26 UTC on Oct 1 2026
Russian Navy tug SB-921 Evgeniy Churov (RMEV) in communication with Baltic Fleet HQ Kaliningrad (RMP). RMEV is suspected of being the support vessel for a Kilo-class submarine; both were seen leaving Kaliningrad two days ago.RX in Milan 06:09z Oct 13 2026
- Military observer @MrFrantarelli reports an improved Project 06363 Kilo-class diesel-electric submarine and Sliva-class rescue tug Evgeniy Churov departing from Baltiysk naval base in Russia's Kaliningrad region on October 11-12, 2026.
- Follow-up posts include a shaky harbor video at dusk showing local naval activity and clear daylight photos of the low-profile submarine and gray rescue tug sailing in open waters with forested coastline visible.
- The vessels appear to be leaving the Baltic Sea entirely, potentially signaling a transfer to another Russian fleet or a long-range transit requiring the tug's support for the conventionally powered sub. Grok
Nothing defiant about this on Bing but wasn't it this class of boat that had the nuclear torpedoes in the cuban crisis.![]()
