Russian Military Incompetence

Continuing this after seeing the recent possible death of another Russian colonel INSIDE Belgorod mind you. I wonder what the “red line” would be for Russia. Might have to start a new thread asking the forums opinion on that. How far can Ukraine go and Russia sustain losses until they get fed up and begin to use other means of warfare?
The first step would be a "demonstration" weapon.

If these insurgent attacks are making us scratch our heads. You can only imagine what it is doing inside the ranks of Russian soldiers. Throw on top of that what the Wagner’s actions are having.

I’m going to venture there could be a major reversal or power shift inside Russia soon.
I’m not saying Russia won’t escalate. But it is just as much a sign of normalcy bias to assume that Russia is going to escalate in some form.
Oh absolutely. Imagine the morale level amongst those ranks.

IMO, Ukranian activities in Belgorod region are intended to have bargaining chip. So that "if you want Belgorod back, you have to return to us the Donbass". Something like that. And it could works. And maybe for Russia could be the better way to get out from this mess. And Crimea question could end with a vague promise to be returned to Ukraine with a kind of time line. So, I don't think we are on the verge to cross a red line. But if a red line is going to be crossed, maybe we can see a full mobilization or a declaration of war, before the use of nuke as escalate to de-escalate strategy. But I don't think we will see nothing such this. I am persuaded that the use of a nuke is thinkable only with a real great capacity to put on the battlefield relevant conventionl forces. And Russia is proving to be absolutely unable to do that, and you can't, semplifying, pass from the blowgun to the nukes, without look the one who is wrong, even towards the allies. It should be like to be harassed by thugs on the street, and then respond with a machine-gun, killing all the people along the block, without being able to pass before from slingshots, knives, bows, and so on... until the point in which the use of a machine-gun is reasonably conceivable. So, IMO, the Belgorod issue will be managed as all the other regions at war: a simple stalemate without any kind of Russian resolve. Untill it will be made the said exchange.
