⚠️ALERT
Reports of Pro-President and Anti-Government factions fighting in the streets ALL across Serbia. This situation is escalating and deteriorating extremely rapidly. Police brutality becoming extreme as well.

Armed (some with guns some with melee weapons) militias filmed and reported moving across Serbia too. Unclear which side these armed militias are on given video evidence.

To the person that did the name of that post, please don't exagerrate things by calling it a civil war.

Those are very violent protests/riots, that could later escalate to insurrection or worse. But now, this is nothing more than violent riots, on the same level of the Yellow Vest protests in France in 2018/2019

Those events needs to be closely monitored, but those are classic style europeans riots, we are good at this in the european continent^^

The instability in Serbia is beginning to mirror the early stages of the Ukraine revolution, with political factions openly clashing in the streets and rhetoric escalating. While it may not have reached the threshold of a civil war yet, the trajectory is concerning.

Even the Serbian President has acknowledged “forces trying to bring Civil War,” which coupled with months of unrest, suggests a deliberate push to destabilize and potentially depose the current Russian puppet government.

The parallels to Ukraine’s Maidan movement are hard to ignore foreign influence, entrenched political divides, and the possibility of a rapid escalation if the balance tips.

Should be heavily noted that Serbia is one of Russia’s most critical allies in Europe. If events there follow a path similar to Ukraine’s Maidan resulting in the removal of Russian puppet government it would be a significant strategic blow to Moscow.

Putins world is falling appart.

i agree that there is a feeling of deja vu etc... i'm just pointing the fact that it's not escalating into civil war yet^^ People were saying the same in France in 2018/2019 about the yellow vest, it didn't ended up into a civil war.

But yeah, those events could or could not escalate, we need to monitor those

(and i agree with your other post saying that Putin's world in falling appart)

France is a wealthy, militarily capable, and historically stable nation. Even large scale unrest like the Yellow Vest protests carried little real risk of collapsing the state or triggering a revolution.

Serbia is a different case entirely its economy is fragile, its military is divided, and it carries a long history of political volatility. In such an environment, sustained unrest can much more easily tip into regime change or wider conflict. Which again this unrest has been going on for 9 month's.

not escalating into civil war yet^^
Yes, I agree it hasn’t crossed into civil war yet.

But the signs are far from reassuring. Serbia is not a strong, stable Western democracy like France, Germany, or the UK, which can absorb prolonged unrest without collapsing.

Serbias weaker institutions, fragile economy, and history of political volatility make it far more vulnerable to unrest spiraling into something much more than riots.

The following video from Simon Whistler (from his Warfonts channel on YouTube) is 6 months old, but provides some background into what is going on in Serbia. IMO, the gist of this video suggests the title @DarkNoon selected for this thread might just be appropriate. Whistler's videos are generally well researched and presented.
