Singapore’s navy has launched the first of a new class of multi-role “drone motherships,” built to deploy and control unmanned air, surface, and undersea systems for modular missions.
Singapore and U.S. armies concluded Exercise Tiger Balm 2026, with around 600 personnel training across brigade level combined arms live fire, multi domain operations, air & land integration, artillery, C-IED, and CBRN exchanges. This is about interoperability.
Singapore’s MINDEF issued its June 8th though 15th advisory for SAF live firing and military exercises, covering areas including Pulau Sudong, Pulau Senang, Pulau Pawai, Pasir Laba, and associated maritime/airspace restrictions. The advisory also warned vessels to stay clear of prohibited waters near Changi and Tuas Naval Bases.
Singapore & Thailand deepen cooperation between their air forces during an visit by Royal Thai Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshal Sakesan Kantha. He also visited Singapore’s UAV Command and Mission Centre, where he was briefed on unmanned capabilities and viewed Hermes 900 and Orbiter 4 systems.
