All the disciplined, perfectly matching troops in the polished white armor lost the final battle, mostly because one of their men went AWOL and turned traitor like Bergdahl,” Kershner complained. “Where the hell was his battle buddy? Then, he joined the out-of-regs soup sandwich badguys who won by swinging their giant chemlights!”

Comedy gold right there!!

I myself am more disappointed by the villain's name--"Snoke"--and I haven't even seen the thing yet. Somebody involved with that franchise has got serious problems coming up with distinctive villain names.

Apparently they didn't learn from "Count Dooku".

Spoiler

Han dies, idk how or why i was just spoiled myself earlier today....i knew disney was going to ruin it. Im hoping they didnt just shut him out but instead harrison ford decided he wanted to retire and urged them to have him killed off.

I'd already read of this but others may not have. Since we don't seem to have spoiler text enabled on this board, I altered the topic title slightly.

And please say you're joking about Jar Jar Binks...

Thats how jar jar talked wasnt it? And he was super annoying. Turns out harrison actually wouldnt do the movie unless they killed him off, so i guess they had no choice. So ill take back disney ruining the movie.

Depends on how much time we'd spend discussing movies, books, TV, and games, I suppose. I assumed it was a common feature that just wasn't enabled here because there's not as high a demand for it.

I can just as easily word whatever I'm talking about in such a way so that nothing is spoiled. So for example I can talk about how next season of [REDACTED] is gonna be a doozy because the [REDACTED] who killed [REDACTED] last season is actually the father of [REDACTED].

But I haven't been able to account for the turnips and antifreeze, that wasn't in the book.

Next question!

Great....now we've gone the way of ISIS. Way to go guys. Fresh off the DuffelBlog, ISIS secures comms by putting 'Star Wars Spoiler' before every message. http://www.duffelblog.com/2015/12/isis-star-wars-spoiler-every-message/

Overall I liked the movie, it had a feel closer to what Star Wars used to be. Rey is a good character and gives a lot to the movie, though much is still a mystery in regard to her history...I'm thinking she's Luke's daughter, but there's no mention of him ever being married (I thought Jedi's didn't marry?). I thought it was cool how she just naturally started using the force once she realized she had it, but I wonder how she knew she did before trying the Jedi mind trick. Finn, for some reason it's like he just didn't belong there...kind of goofy, like he belonged more to some Disney teen flick or something. Kylo Ren was cool until he took off his helmet, suddenly the spoiled little rich kid type came to mind.

On Solo, I didn't really want to see him go, but he did say in an interview (Ford) that the character should be killed off in a heroic death. I don't think he was wanting to hang around for Episodes VIII and and IX. One issue I do have is that Solo's death wasn't all that Heroic, sure he was trying to bring his son back home, but it was foolish to bank on the possibility that he could merely approach him without a weapon handy. I would rather have seen him die in battle trying to save someone. At least the Wookie got a shot at Ren.

The new "emperor" of the first order, funny name, but he looks bad ass in the hologram. I would laugh however, if his real form ends up with him being about two-foot tall. I look forward to seeing Episode VIII, and more development into Rey, who will likely be the next main star to receive the torch from luke.
