China’s top diplomat urges US to ‘avoid misjudgment’ after Blinken postpones visit to Beijing over balloon controversy
Wang, a member of the Communist Party Central Committee’s Politburo, told Blinken in a phone conversation late on Friday that both nations had communicated on how to handle the latest controversy in a calm and professional manner.“China is a responsible country and has always strictly abided by international law. We do not accept any groundless speculation and hype,” Wang was quoted as saying in a foreign ministry statement issued on Saturday.
“The Chinese side regrets the unintended entry of the airship into US airspace due to force majeure,” a ministry spokesperson said in a statement.
On the postponement of Blinken’s trip, the statement said Beijing and Washington had not announced any visit by Blinken and that “the US announcements are their own matter and we respect that”.

this damn balloon has the hair on my spine standing up. The geopolitical puzzle pieces aren’t there, YET…but this demonstrates they have the capacity to deliver a device such as a nuke or an EMP or even small air to surface missle platforms (3 school busses) on a fracking massive-ass balloon and they can knock us back to the Stone Age. That would be a hell of a laugh. The US got taken out by a balloon. This isn’t meant to be funny in any way.
War is coming, it’s a matter of when. It really might be possible the military have no fracking clue what’s onboard that thing, and they are worried about spreading it over a large area. Dirty bomb even?
This shit isn’t a joke after this one. In my humble opinion.
Edit - the Military HAS to be at DEFCON 4 over this. I think this warrants a blue for a short time at least.

Total BS. If it's in a countries airspace then by default it can be manipulated , shot down, dismantled as that country sees fit.
