So finished Star Trek: Picard season 1.
Picard dies, and his memories are transferred into a golem.
So what does S2 do with this? I am wondering if I should even continue.
I don't buy the idea that androids are sentient. Data was not real. Cylons are not real. And now Picard is not real. I know the show wants me to invest that he is, but he isn't. Picard is a simulation, a computer emulating memories and actions.
So how can I care what happens to Picard in S2 when he died in S1? The Picard in S2 is fake.
Does S2 pretend S1's death didn't happen? Or do they want me to buy into the notion that androids are more than just overgrown calculators?
