So, SVT, State-owned channel has a popular show making fun of well.. all everyday events.. , including Turkey and Erdogan. They made fun of Erdogan, and now they called up the Swedish ambassador demanding an explanation.... I really don't see why Sweden should join a defense alliance with a country whose diplomats get pissed off if another country makes fun of their president in a program intended for a domestic audience.

Isn’t is such a novel treaty alliances where each member has voice. Yeah there is always likely backroom deals or concessions. But there is the free will of association and alliances.
Such a dramatic contrast to the Russian federation.
It is no wonder that bordering nations with Russia have mostly moved their interest and alliances with the west.

If this thing is going to break loose, I really figure it will be anytime between now and before the mid terms. It doesn't have to be nuclear, it could easily be economic, especially with the dangerously wild swings in the dow industrials.

Nuclear. Economics means shit between East and West. Both sides are equally damaging themselves economically and that is another possibility of military escalation. The design of sanctions as a tool was always stupid as it hurts both parties as we can easily see once again currently. 🙄😏

And due to west sanctions Russia economies are better now than before, which is why they are still fighting longer than anticipated, due to Saudi Arabia oil cuts , China oil and gas supplies up and India food and resources supplies aswell. Russia has simply diverted from Europe and havn't really lost finances at all , they actually gained . Plus brics was a great security blanket.
