Eric Schmidt explains the future of warfare. AI drones on the battlefield are basically going to stop all that prairie-dogging. And if you think you and the guys will dig tunnels like in Vietnam, then realize the government has satellites that can see a LOT further than you can dig.

Meh. We learned how to shoot down faster stuff in WW2, we'll learn how to shoot these down too. I am kind of excited to see the return of AA gunnery with 21st century tech.

I agree with this statement. I do believe innovation will produce a counter to drone swarms.

The drone AA will likely be electromagnetic or laser. And sure we will learn eventually down drones. The question is the shock and fear in populations they will cause.

In today’s west one drone swarm strike that results in single digit deaths and short term infrastructure disruption. In other words a tactical failure.

Will result in a domestic outcry for surrender. “We can’t survive this, oh the humanity blah blah”
