The US is the only Western country that is not part of it; they are in the company of a fine group: Russia, China, North Korea... who have not signed this treaty :devilish:
No country that's capable of acting independently to defend its interests should willingly put itself under the authority of another, possibly hostile, body. The US is a sovereign nation. Most of the Western nations are no longer capable of -- or willing to -- defend their own interests.

The icc has no jurisdiction over the U.S. though, which is why the U.S. never really gave a crap about what it said.
