Normally it's 30 characters...as far as I know.

Ehh...Doubt it. Likely wrong, but most of those helicopters are not coordinated by any of The U.S Armed Forces. (Likely Secret Service, NSA, CSI)

"taskforce" has been trying to get a transmission repeated for like 15 minutes now, can't hear the sender. It's kind of funny, the radio operator sounds really annoyed.
