Did you record it by chance? That's unusual for that channel, they have others for distress calls. Not to mention it takes a lot of gear to transmit on that channel.

I wished I did. I had half a mind to just kept my trap shut because I sound like one of those 4chan troll crackpots without the recording. But I was hoping somebody else heard it to clarify it may have been something innocent I just misheard.

Nothing else in the 5 minutes either side except for a few mainsail radio checks, and a bit of interference.

Just gone through the list since my last post at 23z, few calls, not much but one or two interesting ones. First EAM of the day was at 0357z - this is an hour that's on the rarer end, I think the last time we heard calls then was during the height of the NK fun. Business as usual with 3 more EAMs at 0633z, 0637z, 0645z, and then a Skyking with codeword "Bean" at 0647z.
Now the really weird bit comes - we just had an EAM at 0906z. 09z is the quietest period of the day by far, and a big statistical red flag. I've only heard 9 calls during that hour in the past 3 months, and this is the first time in just over a month we've had any traffic during that hour. There's another one coming through as I type - 0924z.

Another one now - 0928z - this needs watching closely tonight.

Above was "disregard"ed, another coming out now - 0935z.
And that one was "disregard"ed now too >.<
Third time lucky, he's trying again - 0937z. Call was for someone but couldn't catch who - maybe Big Ball or Evolved?
Another one! 0941z. Still can't catch the recipient, leaning towards Evolve or Default now...
Note: reception's pretty poor on 8992/11175 tonight, 13200 and 15016 seem pretty good.
All quiet for a half hour or so, now another at 1024z.
