The US doesn't negotiate, it dictates, so it's a dictatorship.U.S. PLANS TO USE TARIFF NEGOTIATIONS TO ISOLATE CHINA-WSJU.S. OFFICIALS PLAN TO USE NEGOTIATIONS WITH MORE THAN 70 NATIONS TO ASK THEM TO DISALLOW CHINA TO SHIP GOODS THROUGH THEIR COUNTRIES-WSJ

Hyperbolic assessment.Wow! A tariff bailout for farmers. Who could have seen that coming?
The last time Trump did this shit farmers barely kept their heads above water even after Trump's 14 billion$ bribe, and plenty of small farms shut down anyway, also US farmers lost export business that is never coming back, like soybeans, China, a huge buyer, took their business to Brazil. My state lost millions in apple exports.
Because historically attacking the farmers does well for a country. Let alone relection for a party deeply dependent on the ruel vote...

Just as hard core conservatives are wrong that we cannot improve our economic situation simply thru cutting government spending alone. We cannot improve it by doing nothing or woulda-coulda done anything but what Trump is doing.
To improve our economic situation we have to look hard at gov waste, trade imbalance, manufacturing growth, AI growth, defense growth, and securing rare earth materials.
Beans bullets and rare earth materials.
Some of the stuff Trump is trying will not be as fruitful as advertised, that’s a given. Some will do better. Opening up energy lower infrastructure regulations and ease of doing business. It’s going to take changes in a number of economic influences to bolster the economy. And even then it will be an open question. But business, blind free energy investments floating the stock market and ignoring the debt and other business as usual policies was bound to fail.

Trump and Xi hold long-awaited trade call
Trump held a phone call with Xi Jinping: the conversation lasted an hour and a half and ended “very positively for both countries”
The two leaders agreed to launch a new round of trade talks as soon as possible.
The U.S. president also noted that Russia, Ukraine, and Iran were not discussed — the conversation focused solely on trade issues.
Here’s my two cents:The phone call reveals a “fragile but functional” bilateral dynamic, where both leaders aim to stabilize relations amid deep strategic rivalry. China emphasizes sovereignty and reciprocity, while the US prioritizes practical cooperation.
I think the change in bilateral trade relationship with China is that it has now become clear that it is not just the US who will suffer in a trade war with China. China will suffer in macro ways as well. Until recently the predominate belief has been the US cannot survive without Chinese imports. That has changed, the CCP cannot survive without exports to the US.
