If it turns out to be true, I can envision turkey doing something really stupid and that would be to attack Russian positions in Syria. God help us all of that comes to pass. It will make the shoot down of the Russian bomber seem like nothing. Seems like as the fog of war clears, this thing is starting to get serious unless I'm reading too much into it

Its as reliable as anything else I've seen- Its fine as long as you understand their position and agenda so you know what to filter out.

Basically this. It's their version of Western MSM, so their ideology/viewpoint is naturally strewn throughout, one thing that is beneficial though is that RT/Sputnik typically break certain stories hour(s) before CNN does. To add to that they also carry articles which MSM will not.

Right now, the action is localized to the Syrian-Turkish border area. No threats toward the United States. Now, if we see troop movements throughout the world, subs disappearing etc then we might see a change.....in my opinion. Also, do we have any members near our land based ICBMs? If so, watch for any increased AF traffic to them. I can give more info on what that meant from a civilian point of view based on what I saw during the 1980s....especially 1983-1985.

does tinker AFB in OKC have nukes? I can't remember. I'm 90 miles from tinker, and as i've said many times before, my wife is stationed here at vance afb in Enid, OK which is just a pilot base for the 71st flight training wing, and as far as I know, there aren't even any missles on base.

It is Thanksgiving weekend in the United States. Everyone is still celebrating/recovering.

Rest assured, though, that even during the holidays, we monitor things 24 hours a day. Yes, we actually have staff working the night shift who keep an eye on what is happening. And yes, I have been woken up in the middle of the night when I need to know something. I'm not in a good mood when that happens, but it happens. :lol: :lol:

As to changing the alert, we continue to evaluate the situation every day...every moment of the day. If it needs to change, it will. Trust me. No one on the staff is shy about the alert code. We talk about it constantly.

I'd agree with you as far as to where this event stands...It's an international incident for sure, but I think the magnetite of just how bad or insignificant it is shall yet to be determined.
