The traditional cold refueling for UH-60 helicopters can take up to 75 minutes. For the first time, the US Air Force conducted the hot-pit refueling operation using an R-20 expeditionary refueling system. The test supported a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter on a flightline within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, significantly reducing aircraft ground time and expanding expeditionary fueling capabilities.
