Estonia’s foreign minister says ready to shoot down Russian drones or other targets if they enter Estonian airspace, and that NATO procedures for doing it are already in place.
Estonia says two drones flew near the Reedo base in South Estonia, close to its 2nd Infantry Brigade and a U.S. Army cavalry squadron. Allied troops used an anti-drone rifle to bring one down.
Romania’s Chief of Defence met the EU Military Staff leadership to discuss Romania’s role in EU missions, training Ukraine on the F-16 in Romania & strengthening EU security on the eastern flank.

Nordic prime ministers met in Sweden today & signed a joint declaration to tighten Nordic cooperation on preparedness, defend rule of law, values, & keep pushing to be “the most sustainable and integrated region in the world.”
Sweden’s FM will host New Zealand FM in Stockholm on 29 Oct, alongside the Nordic N5 format. Ukraine “highest on the agenda,” and the Nordics are also using the meeting to deepen Indo Pacific links.
Denmark’s defence minister is in Latvia with the King and Queen, visiting Danish troops at Camp Valdemar and meeting Latvia’s defence minister. Denmark says supporting NATO forces in Latvia is part of Denmark’s own security, and is also hosting Danish & Latvian defence industry talks.
