According to Romanov, Russian units, including the 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade, went on the offensive in the Kursk region. Other Russian channels report that Ukraine went on the offensive towards Glushkovo.

Video of an armored column with at least 8 tanks and armored vehicles from the Russian VDV's 51st Airborne Regiment assaulting Snagost in Kursk oblast. It appears Russia was able to get the armored force across the Seym River, despite Ukrainian strikes on the bridges.

Russia launched a major counteroffensive in the Kursk region overnight, deblocking overland routes to the Glushkovo area and regaining at least one-tenth or even more of the Ukrainian-occupied part of Russia, as per Ukrainian and Russian sources. Significant setback for Ukraine.

Russian Telegram channels posted a video showing a long traffic jam of fuel vans on the Moscow Ring Road.Reportedly, the video was taken at 6 a.m. today near the turn to the Moscow oil refinery in the Kapotnya district. On September 1, there was a fire there after a drone attack.In the comments, it was assumed that fuel is being removed from the refinery after the drone attack.

Authorities of the Murmansk region of Russia claim that the area is under attack by unidentified UAVs. At least 3 are claimed to have been destroyed. All airports in the region paused operations.The region hosts the Olenya air base which hosts Tu-22M3 bombers used to bomb Ukraine.
