I wonder if Russia is trying to talk Belarus into opening a second front to force Ukraine to redirect troops away from Russia.

I don't think so. If Belarus enters the war, it's likely that the war go out of control, because other players would easily make their move. In this war there are 3 taboos: use of nuclear weapons, formal declarations of war and extention of the war towards other Countries. If one of these taboos falls, it's likey that even the others fall. For Russia, until the question can be manajed with its SMO, it will continue to do like that. Russia has a great tradition in deph defence, rather then areal defence and currently, what is happening in the Kusk region is not worring at all. Furthermore, if Ukraine doesn't achieve its goals in this operation, the one who has open too many fronts, it would be just Ukraine. So, at the moment, the one who needs a reduction of the pressure, it seems to be Ukraine, not Russia.
The Belarus front can be opened if one of the said taboos will be passed. We are not so far, I suppose.

Russian drone supposedly crashed somewhere in Poland near the border.
Gen. Klisz said that the object is probably still on Polish territory, although he did not rule out that the object had left our territory. "I have launched a search operation for the object," he said. (PAP)
He assured that the object was "in full control, under full supervision" and was ready to shoot it down. On this matter, he was in contact with the Minister of National Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Wiesław Kukuła.

Currently, across the country, efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strike. This was one of the largest attacks – a combined strike, involving over a hundred missiles of various types and around a hundred “Shaheds.” Like most Russian strikes before, this one was equally insidious, targeting critical civilian infrastructure. The energy sector has sustained significant damage, but in every area affected by power outages, restoration work is already in progress.
Putin can only act within the limits the world sets for him. Weakness and inadequate responses fuel terror. Every leader, every one of our partners, knows the decisive actions required to end this war justly. Ukraine cannot be constrained in its long-range capabilities when the terrorists face no such limitations. Our defenders cannot be restricted in their weapons when Russia deploys its entire arsenal, including “Shaheds” and ballistic missiles from North Korea. America, Britain, France, and our other partners have the power to help us stop this terror. The time for decisive action is now.

📢 Poland said an “object” had entered its airspace, that it may have landed on Polish territory and that searches were underway.

“Most likely it was a drone and we assume so, because the trajectory of the flight and the speed indicate that it was definitely not a missile,” Jacek Goryszewski, spokesperson for the Polish army’s operational command, told Reuters.

Ukraine in Kursk: a lesson in strategic audacity

Ukraine's surprise offensive into Kursk has not only caught Russia off guard but also shocked its allies, exposing the contrast between Ukrainian boldness and the West's timidity.

(Amen <mic drop>) comment

A huge Russian missile and drone salvo launched at Ukraine targeted energy facilities nationwide and left several people dead, while neighboring NATO member Poland reported a drone had probably entered its airspace.

Russia launches about 200 missiles and drones at Ukraine, killing five people and striking energy facilities nationwide, Kyiv says, while neighbouring NATO member Poland reports a drone has probably entered its airspace.
