Before this gets misreported...
NO...Poland today did not say that they will intercept missiles over Poland.
Poland's FE expressed his personal opinion which is different from the govt. one.

In particular on day the 30th of August, Polish defence minister said:
Poland will not shoot down Russian drones or missiles over Ukraine, and it will not train Ukrainian forces on Ukrainian soil.

Poland and other countries are obliged to shoot down Russian targets over Ukraine in order to protect their citizens, said the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs.

👇
However, the spokesman of the ministry hastened to clarify that this is the minister's personal position, not the Polish government's.

The IAEA will inspect substations important for nuclear safety in Ukraine that were damaged by shelling:
A group of IAEA experts will soon visit some of the Ukrainian substations damaged by Russian shelling, which are important for nuclear safety, in order to assess the situation. As reported by Ukrinform, this is stated on the website of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
"Soon, a group of IAEA experts will visit some of the damaged Ukrainian substations - electrical distribution points that are the backbone of the power system - that have been identified as important for nuclear safety. They will assess the situation at these facilities and inform headquarters about possible further actions." - says the press release.
IAEA Director General Raphael Grossi announced the IAEA's expansion of aid to Ukraine and the agency's adoption of "a more proactive position regarding the protection of the state of vital energy infrastructure" after a meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv.
"The safety of the operation of nuclear power plants depends on a stable and reliable connection to the power grid. As a result of the war, the situation is becoming increasingly vulnerable and potentially even dangerous in this regard. I agreed with President Zelenskyi that the IAEA will expand its decisive activities to help prevent a nuclear accident during a conflict , and will pay more attention to this important aspect of nuclear and physical nuclear security," Grossi said.
@Friendly Engineer @RiffRaff @Irag8er @DEFCON Warning System it doesn't seem to worrying. But still seemed important enough to tag yall.

Russian Railways reports the sharpest decline in freight transport in Russia for two years!

According to statistics from Russian Railways, freight traffic has fallen sharply throughout Russia. In August, the transport monopoly, which operates the third largest rail network in the world, transported 97.5 million tonnes of freight by goods train.

Year-on-year, traffic fell by 6 %, a record since June 2022, and the decline accelerated threefold compared to spring: in May it was 2.1 %, in June 3 % and in July 5.6 %.If the situation does not improve by the end of the year, the slump in freight transport will be the sharpest since the global financial crisis of 2008/09, say the MMI analysts: "Even with Covid-19, cargo has fallen less sharply.

❗️▶️ The main reason is problems with sales of coal and metals abroad due to falling demand in China and the sanctions, emphasises MMI.

U.S Okay's Ukraine to Pass Another Russian Red Line:
Pentagon: Crimea belongs to Ukraine and there is no objection to Kiev targeting Russian forces there.

@DEFCON Warning System @RiffRaff @Friendly Engineer @Irag8er not that Ukraine is close to taking Crimea back. BUT when they get there, US will not hold Ukraine back from taking Russian seized warm water ports in Crimea. Which I think we all know Russia will defend those warm water ports by any and all means.

This should now be added into everyone's threat assessment. US will not hold Ukraine back in anyway taking back Crimea including Russian Seized warm water ports.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're talking about this article but something was lost in translation:
The Pentagon has been talking about supplying Ukraine with weapons that could attack Russian forces there (despite Ukraine already having that capability)
