How the hell has Russia not been completely swept from the field? If Ukraine has a million soldiers now, and Russia has not brought in more men to replenish their small and heavily depleted 200k force...? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Russia has ten times the tanks, rockets, cruise missiles and big artillery guns. Thats the long and short of it. NATO slow rolling weapons shipments to them has caused way too many deaths in the last 2 months. Nato should have had a dam plan for sending the weapons they would need to repel a Russian invasion a dam year ago but nobody thought they would fight as hard as they have is the excuse they make. I wonder why they bothered to train up their men and send them javelins for years then. Now the US is trying not to the send them the Grey eagle drones as they are worried about the tech falling into Russia's hands. Well I don't think Russia will matter if they would just send the dam things and let Ukraine win this dam war. Buy them 40 Turkish drones if they are that dam worried about it. They need drones that can launch missiles not drop light grenades.

The farmers are busy moving Russian tanks out of their fields for the army. Trying to grow crops right now is not smart. The west can support them because they are doing what we wont have to do in the next 100 years if we send them the right weapons and covertly hit Russian tank convoys here and there with F-35s or F-117s at night. The F-35s can jam everything in east Ukraine and then make it explode. Raptors can fly cover if any Russian flankers get close. They will never know it was us and not Ukrainian pilots given the inept Russian military.

The problem is there is no political will to risk nato lives. Then that’s fine, but poorly conceived what ever. If they were not willing to risk nato lives.
And Ukraine will never be safe with out nato membership. Russia will just be back at the trough later

Russia has been talking some serious crap lately with zero street cred anymore. They know its either do little or everything they can all at once which will cause them to lose everything. I personally think China is seeing the writing on the wall and will wait for Russia to be so weakened they can march right in acting like they are helping and then take over Russia and grab their oil industry which will cause China to leave the rest of the world alone. Why bother with the little prize that will invite the US to strike militarilly and have every western nation sanction the hell out of you or go grab the big prize to the north and possibly make everyone but Russian citizens chill. In their mind anyway.

I’m not delusional to think if war broke out between between Russia and NATO it would be nato sweeping Russia’s military from the field with minimal losses. It would be ugly absolutely and there would be significant NATO troop losses as well as civilian.

But the question of it goes to that is entirely up to Vladimir Putin.

That said Russia has little to send to the fight but poorly trained troops and a ineffective logistical line.
Even if they resorted to Nuclear weapons they would still lose as a nation.
