Poland is preparing to adopt its drone heavy “Model 44” as the standard combat battalion structure following pilot trials.

One of four combat companies is replaced by an unmanned systems company equipped with FPV drones, reconnaissance systems, loitering munitions & counter UAS capabilities. Rosomak strength falls from 58 to 44 vehicles, while independent detection and strike range rises to approximately 30 km.

Certification is scheduled for November. Wider implementation remains under analysis.

Zelensky:
A good meeting with President Trump @POTUS at the Oval Office. Thank you for everything we do together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and advance peace. First and foremost, I offered President Trump our condolences on the passing of Lindsey Graham. He was a true friend of Ukraine.

The President and I discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and several other ideas that could help. We also spoke about diplomacy – it’s important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated. Our teams will arrange the details of their further communication. I am grateful to the United States for its firm support.

Been following this story for the past couple hours, unverified reports a Russian cruise missile crossed into Poland. Sirens were activated in Lublin as a result, the polish government acknowledged activating the sirens due to adjacent threats in Ukraine, but we have no confirmation at this point as to what happened to the missile. Will post more if I see anything relevant as I know a lot of attention is on Iran right now.

Some local polish sources are starting to report on the incident but there’s still not much confirmation. I’ve seen unconfirmed reports that there’s a few search areas in some wood lots, so it suggests the missile either fell/ran out of fuel or was shot down.

Local media in Lublin indicates that the missile hit an empty field.

The timeline is mostly correct. The Polish military detected an unidentified airborne object entering Polish airspace during Russian strikes against Ukraine. An F 16 attempted interception before the object disappeared from radar, and an Mi 24 subsequently located a probable impact site near Tarnawa Kolonia. Polish authorities have not yet identified the object or confirmed its origin.

The sentence saying it is “widely understood” to have been a Russian Kh 101 is analysis presented as confirmation. Of course like all 💩 OSINT accounts he didn't post his sources.

The UK initiated an £8.4 billion delivery phase for its Dreadnought ballistic missile submarine program.

Delivery Phase 4 will take HMS Dreadnought through sea trials, advance HMS Valiant toward sea trials & continue construction of the third and fourth submarines.

Approximately £5.9 billion will go to BAE Systems and £2.5 billion to the wider supply chain. This is a newly funded program phase, not a new order for four submarines.

The UK awarded 22 feasibility studies supporting plans for at least six new factories producing explosives, propellants & pyrotechnics for artillery, missiles, bombs and other weapons.

Selected companies will receive up to £300,000 each, with findings due by the end of September. The strongest proposals may subsequently receive engineering design contracts worth up to £5 million.

These are feasibility study awards, not construction contracts. Factory locations remain undecided.
