Estonia says Russia detained a tanker in Baltic Sea

Russia detained a Greek-owned oil tanker on Sunday after it left an Estonian Baltic Sea port, the Estonian Foreign Ministry said, adding it had alerted NATO allies to the incident.

France will transfer to Ukraine six modern ROCUS robotic demining systems, created in cooperation between the Estonian company Milrem Robotics and the French CNIM Systèmes Industriels.

According to Milrem Robotics, these systems are built on the THeMIS tracked platform developed in Estonia. The project was funded by the French government, and the systems themselves will be transferred to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Drones allow for remote verification, confirmation, and neutralization of threats, which significantly increases the safety of sappers.

In total, 15 systems from Milrem Robotics are already used in Ukraine.

Russian missile attack kills Ukrainian servicemen in training

A Russian missile attack on a Ukrainian military shooting range killed six servicemen and wounded at least 10 more during training on Tuesday, Ukraine's national guard said on Wednesday, adding that the commander of the unit had been suspended.

Not rockets. My god who vetted this crap (not directed even remotely @Loadstain, but rather OSINT who is supposed to know)

This is simply flares. They carry a lot these days. They are flying around ridiculously high IMO and need the flares to survive to the next kilometer.

You can pop them manually or set it to respond to launch threats. Problem was, for me and everyone I knew, was that RPG’s and even grenades if close (we flew really really low) and it would trigger and possible run out when you need it for a manpad or ATA IR/UV missiles.

Again just flares, happens all the time fixed wing and rotary wing.

Uh yea a simple watch of the video could tell you these are not missiles and are not flying as such either.
 
Both of you are wrong. They fire around 6?
  • S-8 (80mm) rockets: These are a common and favored munition for the Mi-24.

  • S-13 (122mm) rockets: These rockets are also available for the Mi-24, offering a larger payload.
-at the beginning of the video. And then you see the flares. Watch closer.

The reason they don't fly like normal rockets is because Soviet and Ukrainian doctrine uses attack helicopters in an immediate indirect fire capacity. When mortars or arty are not available they fire these rockets from about 2 kms away.

Well I’m wrong. Thank you for the due diligence and correction. I’m on my phone and should have waited.

They did catch the end of a high salvo or ripple. I honestly did not see it. Was looking at the ground and the Aircraft. How the hell do they hit anything? The vast majority of aerial rockets are unguided.

Those are just launched towards a target named to “whom it may concern”

Definitely a saturation effect, they most likely are coordinating with a JTAC recon team that has drone coverance on the splash zone. Sometimes its effective, sometimes its not, but almost everytime it will burst some eardrums and fill some pants.
