I picked up on this article, not knowing if NY post is a reliable source. Has anyone else viewed this article and able to confirm its validity from other reliable sources. I can only image the many implications of the transfer of power and Putlers pre-op directive to a FSB authority.
It honestly looks to be a repeat of the daily mails initial report. The NYP might have been able to confirm or solidify something their.
But I’ll feel it i the wait and see file till it happens and some verifiably different sourcing becomes available.
On the face of it thou it seems entirely plausible.

Maybe so..... Maybe he got some polonium somewhere or something else where he will slip away like Chavez did.....I still am of the opinion that were it true it would be all over the majors given the existing situation. However nothing from the French English language outlets nor anything from any of the majors in the US. I have doubts.

They can choose who they are allies with yeah, but right now Russia is afraid because of the whole nato concept. If you overthrow a government and get them in nato..you can't touch that country or you risk war...be it with spies or a military, you risk war. I think that's a big threat, but yes countries should choose what they want if a majority agrees, but a lot goes into it such as idological control (which the Nazis did). It's super touchy but in a perfect world where we don't have influences via spy's and forigen governments I agree. I still agree with the concepts of spy's and outside influence. The people should be able to do as they wish.

I think the Ukraine Nazi thing is a bit wild yeah, it's a means to emotionally appeal and get people to join in and gang up on Ukraine, this helps especially if you have idological control.

I fully believe that both sides have a reason to worry, but I think Russia did it because they feared the nato expansion into Ukraine. Though that's what I've learned/researched to this point, I also believe Russia does want to establish a line to the Kaliningrad, and well repair the old Soviet union, but I think that goal is being forwarded on the grounds that they are stopping nato from expanding onto them.

The complexity of a theater is way to complex for a single person and that's why we have people who are dedicated to a country, sometimes people dedicated to a country and it's history with another country doing all the talking. My preferred theater is Europe, but most of my base is in Russia because it's my personal country of interest besides like France.

I will admit I have no knowledge on Russian economics, I only know of the history between other countries and underlying trade, not the full economic profits.

Still, I think a good bit of the humanitarian abuses rely on some military men being pissed off and speaking revenge, but these will typically be the minority.
So much of what you said here is Eastern European countries can have alliances and military relationships with whomever they choose.
That much of the Nazi rhetoric is overblown and all things being the same yeah. Just so much propaganda.

From a purely strategic perspective what would any nation or group of nations who are members to a mostly successful voluntary alliance EVER willingly separate or dissolve that alliance?
In other words is the goal of Russia to try and destabilize nato not because its evil, or because it works and is successful and formidable.
All things being the same a nation can and should be able to chart its own way. The I will set pat with the larger military alliance that seems to hold so much fear for Russia.
We’re back to the beginning again just because Russia doesn’t like nato enlarging is not a legitimate reason to restrict it or weaken it.
Any proposal which weakens nato and gives advantage to Russia to subvert and pressure smaller nations. Is a tactic of diplomacy and war.
Divide and conquer correct.
So any attempt to divide nato or dilute its strength at this point is not a reasoned attempt to encourage dialogue. It is a attempt knowingly or unknowingly by an individual to support an adversary.

MSN news posted it, but they were also quoting the same mysterious source from inside the Kremlin.

If the rumours are correct we are heading to a nuclear war choice : Ukraine/World has to either accept the new regional annexsations or we can expect nuclear action when Russia loses ground in those regions in the future.

And Russia can expect retaliatory strikes if they do.
I know I’m being harsh and inflexible on this point. But elevating tactical nukes to the level of offensive weapons in a localized war because you not winning and your territory hasn’t been invaded.
It’s just such a non-starter for me.
This tactical policy has to be squelched out here and now or we will see it play out in other regions of the world.

Russia is trying to bomb Ukraine conventionally all day but Ukraine is too huge and Russia is too poor.
Russia is running out of money, and fast. The nuke is the weapon that could promise Russia the victory and it's much cheaper than the 500,000+ conventional cruise missiles needed to level all big cities of Ukraine.
The 3M-Kalibr has a 500 kg HE warhead that's just too tiny for huge areas. Russia can terrorize Ukraine but it can't destroy it conventionally without going bankrupt.

But, the title is true, possibility of civil discord in the USA, no need for the Russians to teach you that I hope, you are headed for a probable civil war, especially since a certain January 6th.
The whole world knows that.

The pivotal moment will be in November 2024, will it pass or break?

"Alexa, what is your opinion on the strategic situation in Ukraine?"

You have got to be shitting me,
Well by all means let’s justify them in advance excusing them for being forced to resort to tactical nukes because they started a war they weren’t competent or wealthy enough to win.

Snipers being spotted on the roofs of DC buildings around protests & hundreds of police pouring into DC. Protests nationwide continue to grow in dozens of locations if not in all states:
Dozens of large protests some with thousands in crowds and dozens if not hundreds more smaller protests in smaller towns also occuring across the Nation in virtually every state.
