Militär Aktuell reports France’s DGA signed a contract with Saab for NLAW anti tank systems, with deliveries scheduled from 2026 to 2030. The contract reportedly includes weapon systems, indoor/outdoor training equipment, and options for additional French procurement.

Needless to say it's confirmed something happened.

From what I’ve gathered, it was in international waters, happened around 1140 local time, a UK naval vessel was monitoring the Russian vessel at the time of the incident, and reports that the yacht was getting too close to the Russian vessel.

Also no injuries, or damages to the yacht which is continuing its journey.

Reuters confirms its an isolated incident as well, I’m waiting to find out how close the yacht actually got to it before passing any judgement.

UPDATE: A Russian warship fired a couple of warning shots close to a UK-registered yacht in the Channel after also sounding an alert to avoid it sailing too close, a defence source said. Investigations are still underway to establish exactly what happened. From what is understood to be the case so far, the Admiral Grigorovich - a Russian frigate - appears to be having difficulty controlling its movements. It is not clear why, perhaps an engine problem. The warship is thought to have sounded an alert to the yacht to avoid a collision but it didn’t change course so a couple of warning shots were fired - though not directly at the yacht. The shots “were certainly not fired at the yacht”, the source said. The source said that such a course of action was perfectly reasonable. The incident took place about 20 nautical miles off the Isle of Wight.The Royal Navy has been tracking the Russian warship close to UK waters for the past two months. It has been helping to escort Russian-flagged vessels through the Channel. But it was not involved with escorting a Cameroon-flagged tanker that is part of Russia’s shadow fleet, which was intercepted by British forces at the weekend.

UPDATE: NATO S.G. Mark Rutte said the U.S. has lowered its contribution to the NATO Force Model because of multiple theater demands. Rutte said the change is immediate for planning purposes, with Europeans already backfilling many of the affected resources. Some areas are nearly there, while others still require work.

NATO Defence Ministers are meeting in Brussels ahead of the Ankara Summit, with discussions focused on defence spending, industrial production, capability targets and support planning.

SG Mark Rutte said Europe & Canada spent more than $90 billion extra on defence in 2025 compared with 2024, while calling for more defence industrial output in both Europe and the U.S.
