Would Russia risk staying, if they actually officially did it? ( Yeah its only mind gaming ) UK did something similar under ww2 leased some bases to the USA before it entered the war. ( as payment for the "lend lease act" )

As in most common things of law and life. Possession is 9/10 of the law throughout history.
It’s kind of like saying Russia wants Ukraine back after twenty years and actually expecting e retime to oblige the.
This is why nations fight wars

No I think it is actually a feared possibility. But the issue is not nato encroaching on them.
They have not built a growing economy except in terms of resource exports. They have a zero population growth rate and the ethnic Russian population will not be able to hold the federated territories togeather.
Ukraine was an attempt to add 40 million orthodox Slavs to the population and secure significant geographical regions for crop production. And military block.

So yeah they have a problem. But it’s not outside aggression it’s internal atrophy.

Yeah and London and Copenhagen and various other places have been threatened with nukes by Russia.
What exactly does that say when a nation keeps making not so veiled threats to destroy other people homes and cities?
Is that a people that should be coddled and acquiesced to. Or should they be contained and isolated and forced to join the rest of the world.
Or if it’s all just about force and the ability to wield it. Well then by all means demonstrate to them the consequences of such threats.

You can’t have it both ways. Russias threatening such and such and we can’t in all moral conscience reply in kind so we are left with simply giving them what they want.

I think you missed the point - maybe you didnt read the other stuff I wrote. The point being would Russia stay if Ukraine leased occupied or free land/cities to the USA? ( just thinking out of the box )

Wouldn’t you love to know all the diplomatic / espionage maneuverings going on behind the scenes going on in Central Asia China Turkey India US and Russia and all the others.
You know there is so much happening to shift or solidify alliances
 
With this and the Belarus incident and possible counter attack encirclement near Bahkmut it has been a bad week for Russia.

None of these are remotely close to game changing incidents. But repeated negative incidents have a synergistic effect. They attack moral and options across the spectrum. Asses are being chewed in the kremlin you can bet.
