President Vladimir Putin has appeared on state television to warn that Russia had no choice but to take into account the nuclear capabilities of NATO, because the US-led military alliance was seeking the defeat of Russia.

Ukraine military says Russian offensive near Yahidne unsuccessful:​

Ukraine’s military said on Sunday that Russia conducted unsuccessful offensives near Yahidne over the past day, after Russia’s Wagner mercenary group claimed to have captured the village in eastern Ukraine near the focus on intense fighting.

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said in a morning update that Russia keeps concentrating its offensive efforts along the entire Bakhmut front line, were Yahidne is located.

The months-long struggle for Bakhmut, where only about 5,000 of 70,000 residents remain, has seen some of the bloodiest attritional fighting of Russia’s year-old invasion.

Russian mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin said on Saturday his forces had captured Yahidne. On Friday, he had claimed control of Berkhivka, an adjacent village on the outskirts of Bakhmut.

Nearly 40% of Britons have made a donation to Ukraine:​

More than a third of British adults have donated to help the humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine, according to new polling that reveals the vast majority of the public remain concerned about the conflict a year on.

With charitable drives for those plunged into dire need by the war continuing, a new poll commissioned by Christian Aid revealed that 37% of the adult population had made some kind of donation. Some 81% said they remain concerned about the impact of the conflict.

According to Christian Aid, 17.7 million Ukrainians are in need of aid and more than 13 million people are unable to return to their homes one year on from the invasion. Emergency assistance has reached more than 770,000 people affected by the war. John Sentamu, the former Archbishop of York who is chair of Christian Aid, said the British public had shown an “overwhelming generosity to the Ukrainian people”.

Russia has for the most part stopped reporting to the IMF past year. Russia lying about its economy. The true toll on Russian economy is unknown by anyone but signs of great struggle is showing:

This guy shines a very bright light on the true horrors Russian economy is facing and the lies Kremlin is withholding or having giant irregularities in their reports to the few IMF reports they give about their economy.
 
I will not say this is a very bold maneuver of the Ukrainians. The Ukrainians counterattack with armored forces, airmobiles and the Azov brigade. Along the main highways. The effect is unknown, but you can see that they are going all the way.

Zelensky dismisses Joint Forces Commander Moskalev​

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed the Joint Forces Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Major General Eduard Moskalev.
In the written statement on the official website of the Presidency of Ukraine, it was stated that the Joint Forces Commander Moskalev was dismissed with the decree numbered 113/2023.
The decree did not specify who would replace Moskalev. According to reports in the Ukrainian press, Major General Moskalev was appointed on March 15, 2022.
