Zelensky, Citing Equipment Gaps, Says It’s Too Soon for Counteroffensive​

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday that Ukraine needed more time to begin a counteroffensive against Russia because it does not yet have enough military equipment from its Western backers, though Ukrainian officials had repeatedly described the assault as imminent.
In terms of personnel and motivation, Ukraine’s forces are ready for the operation, Mr. Zelensky said in an interview broadcast by the BBC on Thursday, but they are still waiting for some promised hardware from the West, specifically armored vehicles.
“We can go forward, and, I think, be successful,” he said. “But we’d lose a lot of people. I think that’s unacceptable. So we need to wait. We still need a bit more time.”

Russia denies Ukraine push in Bakhmut, UK to send cruise missiles​

Russia has denied that Ukrainian forces have made a breakthrough in the bloody battle for the city of Bakhmut while the United Kingdom has become the first country to supply Ukraine
Russia’s Defence Ministry on Thursday was forced to deny reports that Ukrainian troops had made advances in the months-long fight for Bakhmut.
“The individual declarations on Telegram about a ‘breakthrough’ on several points on the front line do not correspond to reality,” the ministry said in a statement.

In Bakhmut's ruins, Ukraine says intensity of Wagner attacks growing​

A Ukrainian brigade commander fighting in the ruins of Bakhmut said Russian mercenary forces have stepped up shelling and artillery attacks in recent days and were not facing a munitions shortage, despite its chief's claims to the contrary.
Ukrainian Colonel Roman Hryshchenko, the commander of Ukraine's 127th Territorial Defence Brigade, rejected Prigozhin's claims in an interview by video link.
"They haven't had anything even close to a munitions deficit. In the last few days, the intensity of shelling and rocket artillery has increased," Hryshchenko said.
He said Russian forces were conducting constant assaults in the city - and that Ukrainian troops were beating them back.

The Russian Ministry of Defense appears to implicitly confirm that Russian troops have had to withdraw from an area near #Bakhmut following a Ukrainian counter-offensive

In other words, "We repelled all Ukraine attacks, but we retreated anyway."
 
A Part that appears to be from a ADM-160 MALD Air-Launched Decoy Missile has reportedly been Discovered near the Site of the Ukrainian Missile Strike in the City of Luhansk; this Missile is Developed and Produced by the United States with it never being announced for Ukraine.

Only U.S. Military Aircraft such as the F-16 and B-52 are known to be Capable of Launching ADM-160 MALDS so this most likely means they have found some way to Mount and Launch them from Ukrainian MiG-29s without announcing it which would be Massive.

Some Russian sources believe "cruise missiles" were used by the UAF on its strike in #Luhansk today. There is no way to confirm this but the only cruise missile the UAF has is the Storm Shadow. Having said that, it appears the target was a high level meeting of Russians and LPR collaborators. Among others wounded or killed in the attack was the "State Duma Deputy from United Russia, Viktor Vodolatsky" who just happened to be in a Russian uniform with what appears to be the rank of Major General and a "Z" patch (end of video).

When Ukraine used the Patriot for the first time last week to intercept a Russian hypersonic missile, Russia was targeting the Patriot battery itself, two US officials tell @NatashaBertrand @OrenCNN.
US officials believe the Russians picked up on signals that are emitted from the Patriot, allowing it to be targeted. Ukrainians fired multiple missiles from the Patriot at different angles to intercept the Russian Kinzhal missile.
