Ukraine’s Zelenskyy appears to confirm loss of Bakhmut to Russia​

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed on Sunday that Russia has taken control of the city of Bakhmut after a bloody eight-month battle by Moscow’s Wagner private army, with the support of Russian troops, that has left it in ruins. Zelenskky said he thought Ukraine had lost the city, but added, “You have to understand that there is nothing,” saying of the Russians, “They destroyed everything.” “For today, Bakhmut is only in our hearts,” he said. “There is nothing in this place.”
Zelenskyy was speaking alongside President Joe Biden at the Group of Seven summit in Hiroshima, Japan.

NO PLACE TO HIDE: At 0400 (local) the HQ of the RU 102nd Separate Brigade in the occupied city of Berdiansk was struck by a series of explosions. The city is more than 90 Km from the present front lines, suggesting a long range precisión strike by UKR.

Police are investigating poisoning after a journalist and an activist reported helath problems after a Berlin meeting of Russian dissidents. One victim was RU expat and US resident Natalia Arno, director of the NGO 'Free Russia Foundation'.
