Ukraine-Russia War - Ukraine intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, tells BBC News that regarding Russia attacks, "[for Russia,] there are not many missiles left" - BBC News of interview: "Russia would not be able to sustain the level of the attacks because of dwindling missile reserve"

Ukraine-Russia War - Russia fires barrage of missiles at Ukraine's major cities, reportedly blunted by Ukraine air defense; Ukraine drones reportedly attacked the Bryansk region of Russia (S-300 complex). (Reuters and Nexta reports)

Ukraine-Russia War - Belarus - Belarus Telegraph "BelTA" state media issues report (propaganda?): "#Urkaine rocket fell on the territory of Belarus. The military is investigating what happened." Belarus has history of persecuting journalists reporting other than state propaganda.
Confirmed. S-300 interceptor. Appears to have landed in an empty field doing no damage. BY sources claim they're investigating two versions: (1) stray AD missile (similar to what happened in Poland), (2) "that the missile was shot down as a result of the operation of BY air defense systems" (I don't really understand what they mean by this given that it's an AD missile that crashed).

I suppose it might be useful to watch how the Russian/Belarussian propaganda decides to spin this. Could provide clues re: future BY involvement in this war.

RIA reports Putin/Xi videoconference scheduled for tomorrow morning (Moscow time) to "exchange views - in the spirit of strategic partnership - on a number of issues", including "regional problems" of which "some are closer to Russia while others are closer to China" (they really made sure this can't be read any other way than "you help us with Ukraine while we help you with Taiwan"). Comes on the heels of Medvedev's visit to China, which included a meeting with Xi, and Blinken reportedly being rebuked by the Chinese MFA when trying to inquire about the former. Depending on how eager Xi is to go to bed with Putin, this could presage an escalation or it could be a wash.

Update: they're now claiming the missile was shot down by air defense. Take that with a big lump of salt; AD interceptors are notoriously difficult to shoot down (they're small, fast and maneuverable); also the debris field is small, there's relatively little damage to the casing and there's almost no crater to speak of - all of which would be consistent with a ground impact of an S-300 missile that has run out of fuel.
