Does anyone see the activation of Article 5 due to this recent drone incursion, or ones like it in the future?
Hey, welcome to the forum! I get why air raid sirens and alerts can be scary, but drone incursions aren't considered an "attack" and hence won't violate Article 5. These airspace violations are just intimidation tactics. It's a different story if hundreds of drones are sent into NATO airspace to attack bases and infrastructure, however.

Plus...there are conflicting reports over a drone in Romania.
Some say it crashed, therefore jets were scrambled (does not make sense).
Some say it turned back and left Romania's airspace, which is more consistent with the reality.

This is nothing new...single drones violations in Romania unfortunately happened in the past.

Please let's not mix single drones incursions or misguided single drones crashing in the middle of nowhere near the border with Ukraine in Romania, with a swarm of drones entering Poland and potentially heading to an airbase.

None of us are doing this. It's the NATO response that spooked me personally. This is not a normal and proportionate response, especially the alerts being issued after the drone in Romania was downed.

Thanks! Just a bit nervous with everything going on. I’ve been following Russia-Ukraine since the onset (partially due to a personal interest in history, partly due to a fear of nuclear war) and can’t remember a time where it was *this* volatile, considering the recent drone incursions and Zapad exercises.

The Polish civil defense early warning system sucks, especially compared to its state-of-the art Ukrainian counterpart. Who knows; maybe they'll get off their asses and do something about it now that the cat's out of the bag (wouldn't bet on it...)

And regarding the response - the hornets' nest has been stirred, so expect a lot of buzzing. As noted by Terry Pratchett - guards are always at their most vigilant immediately after a major robbery has occurred.

For clarity - there's no place in Kaliningrad that's not "very close to the Polish border".
They deployed it on the Kaliningrad-Chernyakhovsk highway, which is kinda in the center of this tiny oblast.
I think they're trying to say that openly showing off missiles in Kaliningrad (the entire oblast is very close to Poland) is in itself problematic.
