I have just been on this rock long enough and see the evidence from all angles. I don’t trust our media at all so I trust my gut and get real evidence from every possible source, not our media or yours. The videos and pictures from people on the ground along with Sat pictures from private companies.
If Russia was trying to secure their border they would do it so slowly and it would not make the news. An exercise wouldn’t encircle Ukraine and they dam sure wouldn’t pay to test everything at the same time. Putin definitely would not have started demanding that the former Soviet nations be removed from NATO either. Those are fighting words!!
He is saying he is having an exercise with his nuclear forces so NATO doesn’t freak out seeing the Topol M missiles rolling out in mass thinking it’s going to be a first strike on NATO.
It’s to keep NATO from intervening if he really gets rough with the people of Ukraine.
I think he should have not moved his nuclear missiles out because our nuclear forces will now have to go on a higher state of readiness just incase he had completely lost his mind and thinks he can take out some bases to force NATO to stand down as he makes his move on the Baltics and pull back completely!
He is crazy enough to kill a bunch of people just to take Ukraine for its riches even though NATO has been on his border for defense and we have kept heavy weapons away from his border at all times out of respect and caution so his point to have a buffer is okay but not.
We don’t even have offensive missiles in Poland or Romania. Even if we did put Tomahawks in those missile defense sites on the far western side of those two nations they would have to travel over a thousand miles just to reach the Russian border, something they can’t do!! He knows dam well that his air defense systems would easily shoot them down anyway, he just has to bitch about something!!
If anyone should be bitching it should be NATO with Russia having nuclear missiles in Kaliningrad making most of the European cities easy targets. The Ballistic missile interceptors we put in Romania and Poland are to intercept Arab nuclear missiles being shot over the pole. They can’t chase and catch Russian nuclear missiles shot at us.
The only reason for him to bitch would be because he wants to retain the ability to nuke Europe with only a few missiles! Moving his nuclear cruise missiles to Kaliningrad proved it!
Only a tyrant wants that not someone who wants peace! He has constantly hid nuclear weapons from the START nuclear weapons ban regime! This is why Trump said enough was enough, time to catch up and modernize our own missile force. The problem is they plan on replacing the same missiles and putting them in the same dam silos rather then making them mobile like they should. Hopefully someone comes along with common sense and changes that.
Our Minuteman missiles need to stay right where they are since they have already gone through their modernization program! The replacement missiles are not that big so they can go on a mobile platform no problem.
If I was in charge we would be replacing those, building new MX peacekeepers, the nuclear stealth ALCM, naval Tomahawks, mobile Hypersonic nuclear missiles until Russia and China backed down, came to the table with real disarmament. They would knowing we have the budget they can’t compete with. Just the plans alone would let them know they are in an impossible situation.
