In a Nature poll held among US-based researchers and published two days ago, approximately 75% of respondents claim they are considering leaving the country due to Trump administration policies in regards to science. The trend was particularly pronounced among early-career researchers. Of the 690 postgraduate researchers who responded, 548 were considering leaving; 255 of 340 PhD students said the same.
Most of those inteviewed identify Europe and Canada as their preferred destinations.
