BREAKING: The Iraqi media outlet Shafaq reports that the Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee, an alliance of pro-Iran armed factions in Iraq, is holding a meeting "in the coming hours."

A source familiar with the meeting stated that it was "an important meeting" that will "include most of the armed factions of Iraq." The purpose of the meeting is reportedly to determine "the role of the factions in a war, if it breaks out.

"The Iran-backed factions have "agreed to take a direct role in any war against Iran, whether it comes from the United States or Israel."

According to CBS News, the Trump Administration is in discussions with the Pentagon and weighting options on how to support potential military action by Israel against Iran without leading to it, with options including aerial-refueling and/or intelligence sharing for the Israeli Air Force, though officials are unaware of any commitments made so far to Israel.
