They are going to face STAGGERING casualties, if they make war with the US.
Korea was many many 100,000 of thousands. They still generally took their objectives because they brought more people the the US brought bullets.
I imagine an institutional memory still exists in the Chinese army of the mauling the United States Marine Corps gave them. Also, they can juxtapose our performance in Iraq versus Russia’s in the Ukraine. When you do that, there’s only one indisputable fact you can take away: the US makes war look easy. We really are quite good at killing people and breaking things. I’m sure the Chinese plan to offset that with their massively increased professionalism and size.
I think it’ll be an unrelenting slaughterhouse.

I pray it never happens because I love Americans more than I hate the communists.

That refers to the middle east .
Israel, Iran and Jerusalem. Besides I don't follow that stuff.
But let's be clear, I seriously doubt it was written about Taiwan. 😉🤣😂👍

I discount nothing by any source. Everything gets weighed and ranked. I would not discount this or any other source/opinion.
Why couldn't the war start over Formosa with the Godless ChiComs and spread throughout Asia and the Middle East? In fact I find that Highly probable.

Well I guess we could look at it this way. The bible was written well before the existence of America and its military power and global capabilities. 😅😅😅

I throughly enjoy discourse with you Yingyang. You bring up good points from a fresh point of view. My thanks for being civil and forgiving my innately crass nature.
 
Personally have found the CCP pervasive even here in Australia. While working at University of Queensland went to a chinese new year feast and there were the easily identified CCP representatives taking notes. Talk to someone and seem them scribble something in their notebook. Years later did the same in a rural location long away from any large city and there again were the CCP representatives taking notes. It is so no wonder that some many immigrants and locally born chinese people are fearful of the CCP reach. Probably be the same in the USA.
 
We’re again going to be too damn wrapped up in strategic ambiguity and signal to China we won’t do much of anything.

Does the admin have a plan when China starts boarding maritime vessels trading with Taiwan?
Russia and China are initiating a larger draft system so they say.
And out gov and media is spinning it’s wheels in an insignificant “leak”. And doing reality tv with HRT and blackhawks scooping up a foolish young man.

As far as conscription who are they going to invade Vietnam Mongolia.
You can go all wooo about 2 mil men but the requirements to transport that many solders are well outside Chinas current maritime capabilities. Unless there just going to purge half of population of the ROC and relocate an entire army to Taiwan and run it into a garrison.


If you think they need an additional million soldiers to take Taiwan.
Then the question is should we do nothing. Then are condoning a genocide because that’s what it will be.

Worried about colonial powers taking control of the third world nations.
Just remember that China enlarged their landmass by a third by seizing the pacifist nation of Tibet on Oct 24 1951.
That was the last colonial power expansion of the last century.
Ukraine is this centuries colonial expansion.

Don't forget India the Chinese have been slowly pushing boundaries there for a while setting up plenty of bases along the border. As far Taiwan goes like I said previously I'm not sure that is their only objective once they move. Ships and planes can easily transport soldiers. Do you find your own opinions challenged by your own military forces opinions? Or you have more faith than they do?

No I just look at the logistics of moving men especially on a naval landing. They could use ferries but that will only be after much of Taiwan defenses are subdued.
Therefore additional manpower would only be of help for occupation. That’s a possibility. If we arrive at that point it really won’t matter.
I also base my opinions of how China might behave if they succeed in occupying Taiwan.
There are a lot of dead Chinese at the hands of the CCP over the last 50yr.

There is also the current plight of the Uyghurs so I’m fairly certain the CCP hasn’t changed to much.

China engaging India in anything other than boarder disputes is problematic.
All of your previous arguments regarding the conflict over Ukraine accidentally or purposely going nuclear. Are easily more likely between India and China in a major conventional war than nato and Russia.
