The Joint Staff Office of the Japanese MoD has been Tracking the Chinese Carrier Strike Group to the East of Taiwan that is being lead by the Type-002 “Shandong” Aircraft Carrier; the Carrier can be seen launching J-15 Fighter Jets with multiple others seen on the Flight Deck.

Alongside the aircraft carrier “Shandong” the Strike Group also includes the Type 052D Destroyer “Jiaozuo,” 2 Type 054A Frigates “Xuchang” and “Liuzhou” as well as the Type 901 Fast-Support Ship “Chaganhu.”

Some pretty big toys Chinese are moving in... if I would know better I'd call this posturing. Also something to naw at is US warships are now in the Taiwan Strait. Hmmm...

Quite a few assets for "training". The investment in resources for this outweighs any knowledge they would get from the exercise. I would agree.

While PLA's Eastern Theater Command announced the end of the exercise today, R.O.C. Armed Forces will continue to keep a close watch on PLA's movements 24/7 and act accordingly.

Now - are all the ships moving away back to port? If they stick around, then we know what the Chinese are planning.
Still early to say but the Korean forces confirmed the end of the drills, even if they're still monitoring of course.
 
Everyone's reporting it but they're not quoting the source. Must have been a press briefing or something. I'm going to go on YouTube and look up today's press briefing.
Ugh it's a hour long... but I'm sure this is what everyone is quoting from:
