Vendor claims often result in claims by election officials that they are “not connected to the internet”. But is that true? In general, no. Why? Every one of those responses imply that the voting system IS connected to the internet. They simply attempt to hide that fact with security jargon.

No one can deny that during an election cycle there is a transfer of election data from precinct-level tabulators to results aggregation systems at the municipal, county, and state levels.

The fact remains that the security of any electronic voting system and, therefore, the security of the election record chain of custody is vulnerable at any time between the time the election equipment (hardware, software, network configuration) is certified and the election itself is certified. If election officials are unable to validate the security of their voting system configuration during that time, any election data transferred during that period may have been compromised.

Opinion

I think that we very well would have had a Civil War if Trump had lost in 2024 unless it was clearly a wipe out. We were really really close. That said, he is president now and all the Court Rulings fell his way, some even jaw dropping successes in every court and appeals that related to him as President. So my point is, from the countries pov the scales are even.

Bush won in 2000 when he almost certainly did not, due to the Republican officers in the state and his brother as governor to validate the election. This type of thing have gone on forever in this country. This last time is was just so blatant if you were awake at 3am when “hiccup” snap millions of votes flipped. Glitch? Tampering? Adjustment? Either way it happened.

Now we need to move on. Republicans need to learn how to be gracious and the democratics need to be less viral.

We need to focus on what is best for the USA. Close allies first, Asian and South American allies second and Nato third.

We need to focus on the future. Right or wrong most people do not care or do not want to hear about Dominion and voting machines re 2020. These articles and these discussions, whilst probably true will get no traction.

I agree with everything you said. However, this needs to be cleaned up for future elections. The current administration is trying but there is massive resistance. I can quote senators and representatives from both sides of the Isle saying election integrity needs to be tightened up from not too long ago. Now it seems there are certain members of congress doing everything they can to block it, both republicans and democrats.
