I got covid and thoughts on it, First let me say I realize mine is a latter variant so its severity is diminished compared to 2020. That said I’ve had worse colds in the past….
The thing with odors is real, i had noticed for about two days prior to getting really down that i kept smelling this strange unpleasant odors. Some i could attribute others not. And they were new smells.
Had just worked a double and was dog tired and feeling bad. Went home to sleep. My lungs were a swamp and i was wheezing. So I got out of bed and dragged myself to the clinic. They took a nose swab for influenza and covid. Sure enough just as i expected. covid.
Funny thing was, no treatment prescribed, drink lots of fluid and get rest. I had already started slamming down water. So much so that i had to ad electrolytes because i was draining my system of them. Im also fasting and starving it out. Only had a bowl of chicken soup in last 36 hours.
But man am I sleeping like the dead,

The reality of the matter is just as it was in 2020 and 2021, covid is endemic to the population and never going away, Vaccines or not.

Your first time?

Me 2 thice or so. 3 times with lab or nasal swab. One other were I felt cruddy and then wife got proved with covid (she works in labs. Swab daily and lab test weekly or for cause).

My point was that by her fourth round she thought it was a mild cold

My sense of smell never went back to normal. Still hypersensitive. 😕

Please get well soon and best wishes to you!!

I've gotten sick plenty of times since COVID. But never go to doctor. I get better on my own. I view it as why possibly give someone my illness by going to a doctor when I don't really need to.

I know body, if I'm dying, I'll go to doctor. But for a cold? Never go, ever. Why risk others or risk getting another virus on top of the one you have by going where all the sick people go (hospital).

So... I may have had COVID. But I'd never know. 😂

Yes first time, probably had it for 5-7 days and ignored it. Lot of muscle weakness, the brain fog. But had just worked a double. I felt like I was getting broadsided by a train. So went to clinic.
I feel better but still tired and weak.

The weird smells and taste are bizarre. I about spit out the dayquill. It tasted like a chemical cocktail from hell. But I slept like a baby. I just realize last night I’d slept for 20 hours and my poor dog was out of food

I ended up getting COVID just before the vaccines were approved. It was horrible. I have ended up with some mild scarring in my lungs. I have since had it a couple more times. Both times were unpleasant but much less severe due to vaccination and the changes brought about by the Omicron variant. The only long-term effects that I have from it are exacerbation of asthma and chronic insomnia. I consider myself very fortunate. One of my friends ended up with severe lung damage and gastroparesis.

Covid one week.
AFib the next week.
Congestive heart failure the Following week.

Yeah im mad as held at the CCP and the US research community who thought it was a good idea to ship gain of function research to Chinese labs.

Fill in the key players who were part of this institutional migration.

It’s not a catastrophe, reports indicate decent recovery of ejection fraction capacity after this.
f__king Wuhan virus and the American medical professional and researchers who facilitated gof research be directed to China.
